Is it urgent?

Urgent repairs

Under WA tenancy law, urgent repairs include:

  • Burst water service or serious water leak
  • Blocked or broken toilet (if there is no other toilet in the property)
  • Gas leak
  • Dangerous electrical fault
  • Serious storm, fire or flood damage
  • Failure of hot water, cooking, heating or cooling, or essential services
  • Anything that makes the property unsafe or insecure

If anyone is in danger, call 000 first. For a gas leak, also call your gas provider's emergency line. Then lodge the request in the PropertyMe tenant portal and mark it urgent.

Non-urgent repairs

Things that need attention but don't put anyone at risk, for example:

  • Dripping taps or slow drains
  • Broken blinds, handles or fly screens
  • Faulty appliances supplied with the property
  • Minor cracks, marks or wear
  • Garden reticulation issues

Lodge these in the PropertyMe tenant portal and your property manager will arrange the next steps.
